Mummification

The embalming method of the ancient Egyptians

He recently discovered the method of mummification and discovered its materials and methods. The ancient Egyptians discovered mummification by leaving the body over the hot sand covered by sunlight, as it was found that the body does not degrade quickly. Herodotus mentioned some methods and from here we were able to discover the mummification method, and its methods are as follows:

Extracting the brain from the skull by aspiration through the nose using the chisel and the hammer to cut through the nasal wall. After that, the brain is pulled through the nostril with a hooked hooked hook and the body guts are extracted except for the heart ((the center of the soul and emotion)), so that no material remains in the body  Mollusks rot by bacteria, either by opening or injecting pine oil into the guts through the anus.

The chest and abdomen cavity is dictated by the solution of nitron and the linen wraps saturated with resin and perfume, all of which cannot be a medium for decomposition and rot by bacteria.

Dry the body by placing it in the dry nitron salt to extract every water atom therein, extract the fat, and dry the tissue completely.

The corpse is coated with a liquid resin to block all skin pores and to be moisture-proof and expelling microorganisms and insects in various conditions, even if the corpse was placed in water or left in the open.

In one of the advanced stages of the modern Pharaonic state, sand was placed under the skin between the muscle layer and the skin through openings throughout the body so that the limbs appeared to be full and no sagging skin appeared.

Using beeswax to close the nose, eyes, mouth, and abdomen incision.

Coloring lips and cheeks with cosmetics.

Wrap the mummy with many linen laces, which may reach hundreds of meters, painted with resin, stained with red iron oxides (red ocher) with beeswax added as an adhesive in the last seventy days during which the embalming is done.

The basis of embalming is to completely dry the body and prevent bacteria from accessing it.  The science of mummification is currently taught at the University of Oxford in Britain and also in the colleges of pharmacy in the universities of Egypt in the curriculum (history of pharmacy and drug manufacturing).

Note that embalming corpses is forbidden in the religion of Islam.
